NRCan ecoENERGY “Red Tag” Furnace Rebates
In addition to grants provided for new home retrofits, the NRCan ecoEnergy program also allows homeowners to replace their furnaces under a "Red Tag" situation (that is, the furnace has been inspected and deemed unsafe by a qualified HVAC technician), as long as the make, model and serial number of the old furnace is provided to the energy auditor.

Customers have 30 days after their furnace has been replaced to have their pre-audit completed.
